The hearing of an information charging the defendant with an offence punishable summarily was adjourned from 28th August until 11th September 1917, and on the latter date the defendant was convicted. The defendant had on the 7th September 1917 voluntarily sequestrated his estate in insolvency. An order nisi to review the order convicting him was obtained by the defendant
