A debt of a testator, barred by the Statute of Limitations, but acknowledged by the executor, is a "debt due by the deceased" within the meaning of the Administration and Probate Act 1890, sec. 97, and may be deducted from the assets of the deceased in calculating the final balance upon which duty is payable.
